What began in late summer of the year 2001, was something that was both refreshing and reckless. BOTTOM LINE was born when two friends met up with two strangers on Myrtle Ave. in the Glendale section of Queens. With visions of breathing new air into a lifeless New York City hardcore scene, and determination to form a band without limits. Shortly after the formation of BOTTOM LINE, a now out of print 5-song-demo was recorded at Technical Ecstasy in New Brunswick, NJ. Pushing the demo and playing every show possible, BOTTOM LINE finally came into its own and truly realized what beat the heart of the songs and what made this collection of friends so special, yet so insane. 2002, they recorded a little ditty of what eventually would be a glimpse into their future known as "outstaying your welcome" for a compilation-" Stab to Kill Volume 1" on STAB AND KILL/PERFECT VICTIM RECORDS (featuring other great bands such as The A-Team, Mental, The Prowl, Think I Care, etc...)
as 2002 came to a close, BOTTOM LINE hit the studio again to record 7 songs about reflection of personal failures and predictions of endings, at atomic recording company, under the ears of Dean Baltulonis(an, suicide file...). BOTTOM LINE released this e.p., appropriately titled "NO ONE'S SAFE," in both 7" and CD formats on STAB AND KILL/PERFECT VICTIM RECORDS in late spring of 2003...
after several line-up changes, BOTTOM LINE finally had a group of four maniacs who were all on the same page. BOTTOM LINE then released a 4-song free promo including the hit tracks "front to back," and "a drag in heels," for their summer 2004 U.S./Canada tour with Boston's Sex Positions...
