About Me

I have pretty much everything in life that a girl can ask for. I don't have a huge house, or a huge rock on my ring finger (ok, so he put one on my finger and this is now a lie), I don't have a new BMW and I don't get plastic surgery done...BUT I have the life that I want, which is none of the above-mentioned things. I have a loving boyfriend, a small house, and a car that runs. I have a great family and friends that would have my back in an instant. Those "simple things" are what really matter and one should not compare their life to some superficial "I like bunnies girl" who seems to have everything. I believe that self worth is so much more than having a bunch of material things that you can't take with you when you die... I believe that self worth measures up to what you have accomplished in your life (completely by your own determination and dedication), your life choices, and your integrity, (to name a few). I can honestly say that my life is complete, and I am proud of my decisions and no one can take that away from me....

My Interests

Music, Music, Music! Traveling and Scuba diving. Getting my fricken Masters degree and moving on with my life! Justin and home decor/repair with him, my cats, my family, all the things that are important to me.

I'd like to meet:

hmmm...well, I could sit here and wish that I could meet some celebrities, but that is just silly. I have already met the love of my life....so I guess I am complete on this one.

Music:

Just about everything, but NOT a big fan of country. My current obsessions are Thom yorke, Bittersweet, KT Tunstall, Kaskade, Death cab for cutie, The Cure (always),Sia, Skye, Lilly Allen, Jem, Rachel Yamagata,Tori Amos, Portishead, and many others!!

Movies:

Stupid comedies! I love them and can't get enough of them! Spaceballs ROCKS!! Monty Python the search for the holy grail, duce bigelow...something about mary...so I married an axe murderer...road trip, I think you all get my point by now. I like the serial killer type movies and documentaries on all the famous serial killers. (I know its creepy, but I am a cops daughter, so it stems from that). I am a hopless romantic inside, I love the love stories: Pretty in Pink, Breakfast Club, Pretty Woman..blah blah blah, I could go on forever!

Television:

I am obsessed with SCRUBS, I use to love watching Fraiser and Will & Grace. I love forensic files (the real cases) on court tv, Greys Anatomy (although this season was dissapointing), and have recently fallen prey to How I Met Your mother (although it is on passed my bedtime).

Books:

Well,I read a lot of behavioral analysis type of books, because I am in grad school studying the topic. However, I do read for leisure sometimes(not very often),and when I do, its mostly the encyclopidia of serial killers. It is really fascinating stuff!

Heroes:

My dad, my brothers (two are Marines), my boyfriend, and the rest of my family. Those who have impacted my life greatly (you all know who you are). I love and look up to you all!
