Hi,
Im a 24 year old singer/songwriter from a small village called Kingsbury in the centre of the UK.. not much really happens here. I was born in Merthyr Tidfil, Wales, and raised by my mother, and stepfather. When I was 6 I was given piano, and music theory lessons, but I always felt that there was some thing else. Something much more real to music. I eventually discovered more guitar based music, and got heavily involved with the whole scene, I could not get enough of it, Pantera, Slayer, Maiden. Then something changed.
At age 11 my mother died of leukemia, this affected me very badly. I learned to express myself only through music and it was in this raw emotion I really cut my teeth as a writer. I started trying to mimic people such as Neil Finn, Richard Thompson. People who really know their trade, so can get to the emotive underbelly of a song very quickly. To this day I maintain that music is the language of emotion.
So, I am here today, at 24 attempting to cut a path through life with my own particular brand of music. I can only hope you listen, and enjoy.
