I decided early on that the typical way of life was not for me.So I had to find and pave my own way. Soon after at a friends band practice, it hit me like a brick...music was the way to go (I was 14). I worked fuckin hard at it and eventually signed to atlantic records with my band "The Buzzhorn". We recorded our debut cd in los angeles and it hit the stores in late 2003. We were lucky enough to tour and have a song on the video game "need 4 speed..hot pursuit". It was the time of my fuckin' life..... but because of all the labels merging together over 180 bands were either let go or waiting and wondering how long it would be to regroup, we were one of those bands. Atlantic was really good to us and we still have really killer friends there but we had to go. ............So after that I got a call from our producer howard benson to audition for a band in l.a. called "hydrovibe". I did the audition and we hit it off well so I got a place in L.A. and started to work with Hydrovibe. We did a demo for atlantic records and it was produced by good friend toby wright. I was commuting between the west coast and the midwest for a year when I realized it was time to follow my gut and get back together with my good friend ryan mueller (vocalist for the buzzhorn) and put a new band together. We are currently working with 2 good friends of ours who were signed to TVT Records (BENDER) and if we can ever finish the material that was started then this will be one BAD ASS BAND....We are calling it "KILL THE HEADLIGHTS".I also got a really killer gig touring with the violent femmes as a bass tech/ stage manager for Brian ritchie as well as being able to play a few songs with the guys.I have to say, I didnt know what to expect from the band but I can now tell you that life on the road with the femmes is fuckin amazing!...every show is sold out! ....My hat goes off to them. If I told you the rest of everything that I have done in my life it would take forever.....let's just say I probably have experienced and accomplished more in the first 1/3 of my life than 90% of the world does in the first 50 years of their life.But it took a shitload of sacrifice. I would like to write a book someday....and it would blow some minds...but we will see if that happens.
