My Brief Bio :
I am a man uncompromising with his personal wants.
I believe that good things should be earned not indiscriminately handed out.
I am a bioengineering undergrad refining his skills to one day specialize and
make technological contributions to the field of biomedical imaging--likely concentration
micro MRI. To this end I have devoted significant energy honing my critical
thinking and independent problem solving skills so that when the time comes for
me to work with currently known knowledge I may extend our civilization's
knowledgebase to generate new findings and new creations.
I have a comforting hobby that is photography, its
recently become a concentrated art that calls on my patience and attention to
detail as I scan my eyes completely through the viewfinder.
I enjoy artistry, creativity, abstraction, and depth. To stimulate this I
stroll through museums, engage in photography and drawing, create and improve
things, and view my friend's artwork and converse with them about it.
I keep in shape with running, basketball, and biking (I even combine nice bike
riding expeditions with photo hunts, a new favorite of mine since March 2006).
I love listening to music and have over 324 hours of music on my computer. I
love live music and have been to a good number of concerts through the years.
I value integrity, honesty, hard work, responsibility, and passion.
I value clear and lucid communication, intelligence, and articulate expression.
I live a life of 'lifelong learning' achieved mostly by classes, independent
studies consisting of thorough readings, thought journals capturing things I
may wonder about, realize, or have thoughts and questions on, follow up journal
entries to further examine and explore the above, also by devoted watching of
The Newshour with Jim Lehrer, Frontline, and Nova. I
am no stranger to the library and I enjoy intellectual conversation with people
such as those listed below in the next section.
I try to live a life filled with purpose, intent, positive development, and
overall growth.
I don't give MySpace adds indiscriminately: I should either know you or have
some reason to be interested in knowing you---I like to meet new people so be
sure to message/talk with me first and create a good first impression.
Admirable Quotes:
"Be curious always for knowledge will not acquire you you must acquire it"--- Sudie

Time will bring to light whatever is hidden; it will cover up and conceal what is now shining in splendor .--- Horace
"Teachers and authors of textbooks should not forget that the intelligent student and the intelligent reader are not satisfied by verifying that the steps of a reasoning are correct but also want to know the motive and the purpose of the various steps. The introduction of an auxiliary element is a conspicuous step. If a tricky auxiliary line appears abruptly in the figure, without any motivation, and solves the problem surprisingly, intelligent students and readers are disappointed; they feel that they are cheated. Mathematics is interesting in so far as it occupies our reasoning and inventive powers. But there is nothing to learn about reasoning and invention if the motive and purpose of the most conspicuous step remain incomprehensible. To make such steps comprehensible by suitable remarks or by carefully chosen questions and suggestions takes a lot of time and effort; but it may be worthwhile." articulation pg. 50 How To Solve It---George Polya
"I wish men in other fields would admit that their opinions were subject to error; but in fact people are most dogmatic where there is least reason for certainty."---Bertrand Russell
"In school, I like to say, I majored in golf. That's what I always say. But my goal, actually, by the time I got to college, was to figure out, especially business school, how to maximize grade point average per hour invested. I just figured--and, in fact, it's paid off pretty well--when the marginal rate of return of any particular activity starts to dip, move on to something else where you get a greater return. So, if you had to spend an extra 7x hours to get the A, that just doesn't make sense. You don't have time in real life to go do that. You don't have time in real life to do perfect at everything, and you'd better get a lot of things done." Scott McNealy
Even when the work of a genius is subjected to critical analysis and no errors are found, it is important to realize that everything he has discovered in a particular field is almost nothing in comparison to what remains to be discovered. Nature offers inexhaustible wealth to all. There is certainly no reason to envy our predecessors, or to exclaim with Alexander following the victories of Philip, "My father is going to leave me nothing to conquer!" Santiago Ramon Y Cajal
"So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples" John 13:34 ,35
"I command you to love each other in the same way that I love you. And here is how to measure it--the greatest love is shown when people lay down their lives for their friends." John 15:12 ,13
A King may move a man, a father may claim a son, but remember that even when those who move you be Kings, or men of power, your soul is in your keeping alone. When you stand before God, you cannot say, "But I was told by others to do thus." Or that, "Virtue was not convenient at the time." This will not suffice. Remember that. Baldwin IV to Balian ( Kingdom of Heaven )
Life passes most people by while they're making grand plans for it (the movie Blow)
Engineers designing airplanes or
space vehicles use expensive wind tunnels in order to study the details of air
flow around an airfoil or fuselage, even though the equations describing such
flow have been known since the nineteenth century. John von Neumann realized in
the 1940's that supercomputers solving these air flow equations should be able
to give the same answers that wind tunnels do. "The purpose of the
experiment is not to verify a proposed theorem but to replace computation of an
unquestioned theory by direct measurement," von Neumann wrote. "The
wind tunnels are used at present, at least in large part, as computing devices
of the so-called analog type to integrate the nonlinear partial differential
equations of fluid dynamics."

The quote below has been the most
influential in my life, it motivated an intense effort to solve math problems
that were totally not obvious to me and took considerable effort. I use
mathematics as an inexpensive means to hone my critical thinking skills and to
become fully acquainted with all the barriers to problem solving one will
inevitably face the more problems they solve. Enjoy...
"I could cite dozens of Spaniards with minds finely suited to scientific
investigation who retreat discouraged from a problem without seriously
measuring their strength, perhaps at the moment when nature was about to reward
their eagerness with the anxiously awaited revelation." Santiago Ramon Y Cajal
