dustin shey. known by some as dustin mitchell. from a small town in new mexico. grew up to the 70's. found music in the 90's. moved to california after high school. was going to be a preacher. music pastor. they taught me hymns. i liked rock music a little bit more. i played with a band. miles down. if you don't remember it, thank the lord. if you never heard of it, don't worry, you didn't miss classic hits like 'kneeling man and die and not okay and you don't know me.' seriously. then came the dustin shey band. then went the dustin shey band. now, on my own. been recording forever. i'll have a cd one day. i'll have 3 by the end of 2007. stay tuned.

Band Members: it's just me for now. if you are a musician in the bay area looking to get involved in a project, and dig what I do, let me know. with the upcoming cd release, I'll be playing out alot, and I'll need some good peeps alongside me.
Influences: not so much influences as to what I'm listening to lately. Teitur. Feist. MuteMath. Flight of The Conchords. King Curtis and Aretha Franklin. Robert Johnson. Leela James. Dogcatcher (look on my top 8). Shiny Toy Guns.
Sounds Like:

i lost my heart a bunch of times.
i drink a lot of whiskey and red wine.

but it's not all true. it sounds like I wrote when I was sad. that's all really.

I write so I don't have to pay for therapy.
