"Brett Wagner, along with his wife Sarah, have formed a new band called The Heartbreaks. Since its inception in March of 2007, this Indy-Glam-Pop band has already gained a following on Myspace and is hard at work recording their upcoming self-produced album, "Congratulations!".
Clever melodic hooks and layers of vintage synth sounds, along with a keytar, provide the perfect underscore for lyrics that are as rad as they are meaningful. The duo’s vocals are strongly reminiscent of bands such as The Human League and Mates Of State.
In their most popular song, "Goodbye," they sing, "All my life, I’ve waited for this day…" And one thing that will be immediately apparent to anyone who takes the time to listen is that The Heartbreaks are well worth waiting for."
