First the earth cooled. Then we arrived with the gear. Amps, oscillators, flux-capacitors. . .retooled, recycled, reconfigured. When we began our initial campaign we were funded by The Pipeline, which was the primary front for many of the earth-based clandestine operations. Super bills and lavish extra-terrestrial contraband were among the big movers and the shakers sure shook 'em up. After being handsomely outfitted and gainfully enhanced, we were turned loose on the unsuspecting denizens. Garages were stomped, basements were vomited in and every bathroom was a virtual pharmacy. We saw things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. We watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tanhauser gate. But soon all those moments would be lost in time like tears in rain. Reality tunnels were simultaneously expanding and contracting. . .then converging. Time was being rerouted and imploding between frames. And then just like no time had transpired, we found ourselves free falling down to the salty shores of where we initially emerged. The defrag was strenuous and seemingly endless. All Q-cells were warped. Worst possible scenario, right? ---------------------------- Wrong. An antediluvian program surfaced during defrag allowing spontaneous regeneration of foreign appendages. And with these we began the journey outward towards the barrier. And as we begun closing in on the barrier we heard the indescribable. It was omni-directional. Instantaneously we became enshrouded in something like an acoustic envelope. This is where the eventual transfiguration occurred. The sounds we heard remain indescribable, but every now and again, we take a stab at it.
