Born 10 days after Hiphop sold out...my bad...went commercial... and has been fighting off the stench of Bull ever since. He has had the opportunity to perform in Europe, Canada, Mexico, Hawai'i, as well as various cities throughout the continental US.
Early on in his career he has shared the stage with Jazz Legends Benny Waters, Panama Francis, Jane Jarvis, and Milt The Judge Hinton. Most recently Billy Childs, Carmen Lundy, Ray Nacimiento, Carl Anderson, Rihannon, Frank and Ava Dupree, Vivian Lee, Club Nuvou,
KRS-ONE, Prince Rahim of the Furious 5, along with many others.
Although he had been writing rhymes since 1997, he was encouraged to get into the art of spoken word in 1999 by his Mother Poet, Vocalist, and Author of "Hear my Voice in the Wind" Felecia McGee. Supanova continued playing trumpete and performing with such poets as Khiry Malik, Cleo Cartell, Staajabu and V. S. Chochezi (better known as Straight Out Scribes), Terry Moore, The Late Great poets Akilah Jaye & Phil Goldvarg.
