Paranoid enough to believe anything and distrust everything.

About Me

I'm a writer and moonlight as a cab driver on Long Island.
I'm in the midst of getting a feature film project off the ground.

Check it out - comments welcomed.

My Interests

I'm interested in not driving myself crazy. So I'm up for anything that does not get me killed or give me a disease, but gets me out of my head for an extended period of time.

I'd like to meet:

I can't take negative bastards anymore. "How are you helping?!" I scream whenever a self-righteous bastard drops a bomb and sneaks out the door. "I'm helping myself!" they usually scream back. I wouldn't mind it so much. But I'm still stuck with a bomb. So, anyone whose relatively coherent and not a danger to self or others is welcomed. Also, a sense of humor is appreciated since I can't take myself too seriously for fear of a pending aneurism.I'll leave things at that and see who the executioner brings for dinner.

Music:

Cinematic Orchestra, Coldcut, The Rolling Stones, Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, The Animals, DJ Shadow, Massive Attack, Nina Simone, Portishead, AC DC, Jane's Addiction, The Lordz of Brooklyn, La Coka Nostra, The X-Supermodels, David Holmes, Up Bustle & Out, Bonobo, Cut Chemist, Aphex Twin.
And I try to remain open to hearing just about anything.

Movies:

As far as titles go (in no particular order): Fando & Lis, Irreversible...

Baise-moi, Network, Hardcore, City of God, Hi Mom!, Apocalypse Now, Full Metal Jacket, Breaking Away, King of New York, Suspiria, 28 Days Later, Bad Boy Bubby.

Pretty much anything with Paul Newman. And movies by Sergio Leone, the Coen brothers, Sam Peckinpah and David Lynch.

Books:

"The Outsider" by Colin Wilson. This guy wrote this book when he was twenty-four in 1956. It's a mind blower. And pretty much anything by Hunter Thompson.

Heroes:

Inconsiderate, selfish, greedy, megalomaniacal, pretentious, loudmouth, dishonest, cowardly, degenerate sociopaths that can go to sleep at night with a clear conscious.

Oh, and Socrates!

The philosopher Socrates about to take poison hemlock as ordered by the court.

Who sends these requests?

Boss/Chief versus Yes'em Masser

I hate being greeted by any phrase with the word "chief" or "boss"."What'll be chief" an employee grunts from behind the counter. And it rings my bell. It sets me off. I want to grab the guy by the sh...

You're welcome!

"You're welcome" is just as important as "Thank you". I need to practice my "You're welcome" more appropriately. I tend to return a "Thank you" with a "Thank you", which is rarely approrpriate though ...

"My mother went with a Hungarian named Attila."My passenger was getting serious. He was talking about the baseball game and what a terrible disappointment it was to have the Mets lose. Though I don't ...
