NEW SKINN are a Melbourne based hard rock band who were formed by drummer Anthony (Xman) in 2002. NEW SKINN was later joined by ex ‘Against the grain’ bassist/b.vocalist Chris aka ‘Greekman’ and ex ‘Next of Kinn’ lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist Phil G. And now recently, Joe Greco takes the reins on lead guitar!
NEW SKINN have been categorised with bands such as Butterfly Effect, Karnivool, Pearl Jam and many others, however the four piece say that they just sound like NEW SKINN.
NEW SKINN have recently finished their first EP ‘Cause and Effect’ that was recorded by none other than producer Jason Bryant "I've worked with some of the best bands in Australia, and these guys are definitely up there with them... the fact that they've only been together for about 6 or 7 months is astonishing! I really believe this band has the talent, passion and songs to be playing stadiums within the next 2 - 3 years! "

More recently NEW SKINN were thrilled to hear three of their songs were getting air play on the US radio station NMM with over 500 minutes of air play.
NEW SKINN have received an overwhelming response from various audiences. Their high powered live shows have left many a crowd satisfied, they will have their audiences moshing, rocking out, holding out their lighters and singing along, no matter what style of music you listen to, NEW SKINN will get your attention.
