I'd love to stay here and be normal, but it's just so overrated

About Me

Due to an overwhelming amount of spam in the form of friend requests, I have updated my account settings to only allow friend requests from people who know my e-mail address or last name. If you want to add me but don't know that information, send me a message and we'll sort it out.
About me:
My iPod is my best friend I'm more likely to spend $150 on CDs than on one pair of jeans LA area born and raised I have two sisters and one neice My bed is never made I drink too much Diet Coke I'm happier on sunny days Noisy people at the movies drive me crazy I'll have something on my website fac51.org eventually
Aren't bullet points just so neat and concise? You can pretend you just saw a PowerPoint presentation about me.
Oh, if you're going to add me as a friend, at least send me a message saying hi or something. That way I can add you under the pretense that we're friends or at least bothered to say hi to one another.
I should also warn you that I frequently ignore profiles or delete e-mails where "u" is used instead of "you," "ur" is used instead of "you are" or "you're," "r" is used instead of "are," "4" is used instead of "for," etc. Typing is supposed to make communicating easier, not make you more lazy. Further to this, please check out a blog some friends and I are doing called Grammar Vulture .

I'd like to meet:

This is easy. I'd like to meet real people. Good people. Nice people. You know, like the kind who'd help you if you were in trouble. People who have fun and smile and make me laugh a lot.

I know relationships are so 1990s, but I'd love to meet a great guy who is actually interested in getting to know me. Of course, friends are always good too. I'm more likely to fall for a smile or a laugh than great pecs. Things I like/look for:

Nice smiles Sincere eyes Short hair Kind but not a pushover People who can actually have a conversation Maturity (not to be confused with boring) People who have their shit together Sense of humour
It'd probably be helpful to list who/what I'm NOT looking for:
Circuit queens Alcoholics/drug addicts "Str8 acting" guys - being masculine is one thing, but pretending to be something you're not is another A&F clones Guys who have nothing better to talk about than their workout/diet People who eat with their mouths open (yuck) Self-absorbed assholes

After months of anticipation, I finally got to see Control on Sunday night. It was screened at the Vista Theatre as part of the Swerve Festival. I had a lot of expectations heading into this movie, wh...

This Charming Man

Oh, how I love this man. Morrissey appeared in full Chivas USA uniform for his encore at the Palladium last night. Damn, I wish I was there. He looks great! I totally stole this photo from some girl'...

Perfect. Immaculate.

Bummed as I am to hear that the Pet Shop Boys have had to cancel their Hollywood Bowl show on September 27, I can't be too mad because this is beautiful: and because the new Perfect Immaculate Mix of...

President Gas

I saw this at lunch today and had to share: I also thought I'd share one of my favorite Psychedelic Furs songs. I'm not 100% sure what he's on about here but I'm pretty sure it's appropriate to the s...

Wayne Coyne on "Nevermind"

The Guardian asked musicians to nominate "great" records they'd gladly never hear again. A list like this is obviously debatable - and most likely made to incite riots among easily-offended music nerd...

OK. If the four minute trailer choked me up, I don't know how I'm going to handle the two hour movie. This looks like it's going to be good. ...
