I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm a sincere, down-to-earth guy who loves to spend time with people I'm close to. I prefer the company of a couple of good friends to a roomful of aquaintances, and I'm perfectly happy spending time on my own, puttering around my apartment or watching movies. In some ways I'm pretty easy-going, but in other ways I have to admit I'm a pain in the ass: I have strong opinions and I voice them, and I can be quite stubborn at times. I expect the best of myself and of the people I let into my circle. I'm rather guarded and don't get close to people easily, but once you're in you won't find a more devoted and dependable friend or companion.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

People who are honest, responsible, down-to-earth, kind, loving and who don't take themselves too seriously. I love people who are passionate about something, anything. Intelligence--the ability to carry on a conversation and the ability to spell--a must.

Some of SXSW

This was the workingest SXSW I've had yet.  It was good, but I didn't get to see as much music as I have in the past.  Still, I did get to some shows. Magic Numbers were kind of like their C...

I ALMOST BURNED MY APARTMENT DOWN

All Brokeback, All The Time

First of all, enough with the parodies of the Brokeback Mountain poster.  My god, it was played out before the movie even opened wide.  Now it's just T-I-R-E-D.  This is spurred by the ...

NY, Gates, and Gays

Went to NYC last week to see Christo's "Gates" project in Central Park. Having seen "The Umbrellas" when they were here just north of L.A., I wanted to see his next work, and really it just gave me a...
