Beautyway or Hozhoji is what the Dine’ believe is the way of life for them. It is the concept of maintaining balance and harmony within an individual, nature, and the universe. Prayers and ceremonies are beneficial in restoring the state of Beauty or Hozho in the process of maintaining balance and harmony.
Beautyway Productions was created in collaboration with Dine’ singer/songwriter Chucki Begay, Terry Jackson (Shawnee/Cherokee), buyer Sacred Grounds Trading Post/Native American flute player and Susan Tracy (Tohono O’odham), Assistant Manager Sacred Grounds Trading Post and Disc Jockey KOHN-91.9 FM.
Chucki Begay is of the Kiyaa’anii clan and is born for Txachii’nii clan. Her maternal grandfathers are of the Naakaii dine’e clan and her paternal grandfathers are of the Txodichi’ii’nii clan. She is from a place called Dzil’ abei, or Gray Mountain, Arizona.
Beautyway Production’s mission is to help promote and exemplify the creativity, beauty, and generous spirit of Indigenous peoples who have inherited gifted talents from Great Spirit in order that they may serve their purpose in life.
