A word from Mat Gibson about 'Home Movie'...
"The album 'Home Movie' is the final product of many years of ideas sprouted from the heart and head of a troubled soul looking for some answers. 'Home Movie' provided those answers. Dealing with themes of heartbreak, failure, the music business, ruptured childhood and the loss of oneself, 'Home Movie' managed to package all of my issues into one place and send them away for good. Recorded in a one week spurt of creativity in a dingy Philadelphia studio, 'Home Movie' was recorded like an album should be, with spontaneity and lots of booze. For one week in the lives of six musicians, recording 'Home Movie' made those musicians feel like the great musicians of our time, like the Stones in their south of France mansion for example recording 'Exile on Main Street'. It was an experience that nobody will ever forget. I toured briefly in 2006 and 2007 to promote the album but the main work was done in the studio, I no longer tour as a solo act or as part of the Fallen Hearts. Instead 'Home Movie' serves as a back catalog of my music which people may discover somewhere by chance either through a friend or on the net, but it is hopefully a worthwhile discovery. Here is what some nice people had to say about it. Yours, Mat."
