About Me

I guess I'm pretty complex. In fact sometimes I even confuse myself. It takes some time to really know me.
"The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself." Friedrich Nietzsche

My Interests

Making jewelry, music, traveling, reading, cooking (and eating), nature (I miss the mountains), going to shows....

I made this MySpace MP3 Player at MyFlashFetish.com .

I'd like to meet:

Funny, laidback people who aren't afraid to be themselves.

Music:

Jane's Addiction, The Cure, 30 Seconds to Mars, Depeche Mode, Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, Ramones, Beastie Boys, Think Tree, Stabbing Westward, Smashing Pumpkins, Scissor Sisters, The Doors, Garbage, Led Zepplin, Placebo, Misfits, Smiths, Pink Floyd, Tori Amos, Daft Punk, Kate Bush, Linkin Park, James, Bob Marley, Pixies, Gorillaz, Bob Dylan, Sisters of Mercy, Violent Femmes, Greatful Dead, Foo Fighters, Elvis, Moby, Faith no More, Mr Bungle, Cake, Radiohead, Blind Melon, Ella Fitzgerald, Joy Division, Incubus, Flaming Lips, My Chemical Romance, Korn, Lou Reed, New Order, Lush, She Wants Revenge, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Collective Soul, Prince, Sarah Mclachlin, Outkast, Muse, Killers, A Perfect Circle, Queens of the Stoneage, Peter Gabriel, Bloodhound Gang (they make me laugh), David Bowie, Primus. Regina Spektor (thanks Jenn), Tom Petty, Blue October, and so on and so forth.

Movies:

My movie genre of choice is definitely HORROR. I like a lot of other stuff too though. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Donnie Darko, Devils Rejects, Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissor Hands, Scary Movie 2, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Labrinth, Team America: World Police, Twin Peaks Fire Walk With Me, Rolling Kansas, Beetlejuice, Momento, Rocky Horror (of course!), Detroit Rock City, The Crow, Wizard of Oz, Clockwork Orange, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Lost Boys, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, just to name a few off the top of my head. I find a lot of great movies on IFC too.

Television:

Family Guy, HEROES, South Park, Prison Break, Lost, Supernatural, some older stuff like Kids in the Hall, the Young Ones and Monty Python, and tons of Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, PBS, History Channel, Discovery Science, and National Geographic because basically I'm a big nerd.

Books:

I love to read, I love books. I read anything and everything, Anne Rice, Robert Rankin is one of my new favs, he writes crazy funny sci-fi with a sharp Brittish wit, Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass, A Portrait of Dorian Gray, Joplin's Ghost, the Harry Potter books, Wuthering Heights, all of Poe's works, Tao of Pooh, Te of Piglet (they make me happy), All That Lives (a novel of the Bell Witch), The Poisonwood Bible. I recently read everybook I could find by a local author (well semi-local, she lives in Winter Haven FL, but she grew up in North FL and Tampa) Connie Mae Fowler. All of her books speak of a strong connection to the water. What's the problem with Murmer Lee. Remembering Blue, River of Hidden Dreams, Before Women had Wings and Sugar Cage are all the Connie Mae Fowler books I could get my hands on and I devoured them. I also enjoy memoirs of interesting people (Queen Noor of Jordan's A Life of Light, Debra Santana's Beyond the Stars, for example). I've read a bunch of Stephen King. Edgar Allen Poe. There so many more, oh no, too many to name!
