I'm insomniac and over the last year have begun using those hours to shoot photographs of trees at night. I've recently taken 12 of my favorite "Insomnia Tree" shots, and published them in a calendar that is now for sale on cafepress.com. 100% OF ALL PROFITS will go to benefit breast cancer initiatives. I had the honor of getting help from 12 of my favorite people; they've each chosen the tree for their birth month. I'm especially grateful to Porl Thompson (Nov), Lol Tolhurst (Feb) and his wife Cindy (Oct). It's incredibly flattering and humbling, and I thank these very busy people for taking the time to humor me and help a great cause. I love you (all 12 of you) to pieces!

Besides The Cure...
Pixies, Sisters of Mercy, Butthole Surfers, Dead Milkmen, Bouncing Souls, Pietasters, Cranes, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Levinhurst, The Glove, Social Distortion, pretty much every single trad Jamaican ska band/artist ever, Kitchens of Distinction, Mogwai, Jesus And Mary Chain, Jane's Addiction, Dropkick Murphys, Pogues, Sex Pistols and loads more that I'm sure I'll think of later... Any musician you see in my top friends is worth a definite listen.

Movies:

I like pretty much anything. A good rule of thumb when you're looking for a movie is this: If it's a new release, and your video store only bought a few copies, it's probably killer. The obscure titles are almost always a safe bet. (Do avoid Winter Solstice and Fear X, though. HORRIBLE. BORING. BLECH.)
Can't go wrong with time-tested cult films, however. They just keep giving and giving and giving...

Television:

I watch very little T.V., but I like House, Medium, CSI... I have an odd addiction to Jay Leno's 'Headlines'... Most T.V. I used to love is hard to catch, or simply not on the air anymore.

Books:

I love it all. Any genre... poetry is difficult for me, but when I like it I love it.

Heroes:

None, but someone I adore muchly and would like to meet in some life is Henry Darger. I'm absolutely fascinated by him.
