Rae Mear is the only consistent member of this "band." The Masquerade is incorporated, but is not limited to any stable group of players. The Masquerade has a revolving door policy-- thereby encouraging artists, from all genres, to participate. Although The Masquerade does not discriminate against any artistic philosophy, the project, itself, does not work by financial exchange. If you offer your services, you must be willing to do so, compensated strictly by fun. The Masquerade is organic, thus it changes and moves-- if, during its various movements, there becomes a "finished product," then monetary issues such as, but not limited to: marketing, distribution, royalties, etc., are subject to agreement based upon the committee of artists responsible for that specific movement. The Masquerade's mission is to make love through art-- love, to us, means everything. We are an innovative, ever-producing, networking tool that nurtures each artist's individual integrity while providing a home-base to cultivate very vital, professional relationships. There are a variety of ways to showcase your work-- if you are only interested in a venue of showcase, do not hesitate to contact us. We know a lot of people. If you would like to be temporarily recruited, contact us here. The song "Monday" was written, performed, and produced by Rae Mear and

The Masquerade version is meant as an intro for a compilation of blues songs that Rae Mear and the Masquerade are currently arranging, experimentally, in various intervals. The idea is to build a cover song, encompassing four songs, and produce it in stages so that the listener is an integral part of the creative process. Copyright 2008. More to come soon...
