The Satanic Mechanic

About Me

Mash together one part geek, one part goth, and one part misanthrope, and you've pretty much got me. In my free time I like to work on cars and other mechanical things, but at the moment, my skills are about equal to Wile E. Coyote. It works, but for how long...

Balance is key in my life. I like to try new and different experiences, but not do any one thing to excess. I may be quiet at times, but that doesn't mean that I'm not paying attention.

I'd like to meet:

Open minded people who aren't afraid to cut loose and be silly every once and a while.

Music:

Everything from Tori Amos to Gwar! I'm mostly in to Goth and Industrial at the moment. That may change in a week and then change back in a few more. A few of my favorites include The Sisters of Mercy, Fields of the Nephilim, Tool, Covenant, and Front Line Assembly.

Movies:

Too many to list. I really like Anime, Blade Runner, A Clockwork Orange, The Hunger (best opening 5 minutes of any movie!), PCU, anything by Monty Python, Fight Club, Lord of the Rings, The Matrix, and Blade.

Television:

I try to avoid TV, but I do like Monster Garage, Spike TV car shows, and The History Channel.

Books:

Books by William Gibson, Neil Stephenson, Edgar Allen Poe, H.P. Lovecraft, Stephen King, Michael Moorecock, Robert Jordan, various other sci-fi, fantasy, and horror authors. I do have an interest in mythology and the occult. I also occasionally venture in to historical or nonfiction territory as well.

Heroes:

Dr. Evil - "Can I get some sharks with frikkin' laser beams on their heads?!"
Those that dare to defy definitions and labels and just be themselves.
Those that question authority and convention.
Those that do instead of asking to have done.
Those that know the difference between want and need.
Those that have the courage to say "I don't know".
