Every so often a band comes along that turns everything you've come to know on it's head. Violet Says 5 is that kind of band. This foursome, hailing from the D.C. metro area, packs a mighty wallop with it's combination of funk, rock, and southern style hip hop. Propelled by frontman Ethan Spalding and his ability to make words sound as if they were soaked in bourbon, Violet Says5 answers the question: What would a mixture of Led Zepplin, Red Hot Chili Peppers, 8ball and MJG, with a pinch of Run DMC sound like?
