E.R.K which stands for Earth’s Recognized King established himself in the Underground Hip-Hop Scene at the young age of 13. He discovered his skill for writing poetry and music after performing an original piece at the Dramatic Arts Festival when he was in the 8th grade and receiving a standing ovation. Since then it became obvious that he had a natural talent for writing music and he has been doing it ever since. With his new album titled “Operating Manual for Spaceship E.R.K.” soon to be released in early 2009 E.R.K is ready to add a new type of essence to the Hip-Hop Industry. E.R.K is destined for stardom in the Hip-Hop music industry. E.R.K emerged from a group of local DC Rap Artist called the Remainz Crew. The group consisted of nine members who met in high school through battle rapping each other in the hallways during lunch. The group began recording songs together in early 1994 and has recorded more than 500 songs together. One member named Raheem Devaughn was later signed to Jive Records. E.R.K is next up to bat. This DC underground Hip-Hop artist is not only talented but a smart business man as well. He is destined to take music in a new direction and give the people exactly what they want. The only question is are they ready?
