Masters Of The Universe Fan Comic

I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 This myspace site was created to display a fan created comic based off of the 1980's toyline "Masters of the Universe." The concept originated from Jay Reiter and Jesse Emerson in late 1997. Jay notes - "We really wanted to just come up with an origin story for the core characters that we loved and grew up with. At the time, there was no story that explained how Prince Adam met the Sorcerous or what Skeletor's real motivations were. As fans, we really wanted to tell that story." Jesse proceded to write up six scripts for six separate issues using spiral bound notebooks. Later, Jay would lay out each page in the same notebook that the issue's script was written in. Durring this time, Jay decided to go to his local technical institute for marketing education to properly solicit this idea of a "He-Man Revival" to Mattel Toys. Once he was finished with school and had the first four pages of issue one inked up, Jay attempted to contact Mattel Toys. The soliciting was unsuccessful. Now, years later, Mattel did in fact re-release a new "Masters of the Universe" toy line and along with it a comic and cartoon series to support it. "I guess I just feel the timing is right. I think that this story was meant to be read by a mass media and posting it for free on the internet seems to be the right thing to do now," Jay continues. "I just hope that the fans of He-Man, both old and new, appreciate and enjoy the story that two fellow fans came up with almost ten years ago."
