About Me

One minute, Kerri hurts your feelings with melancholic musical gems, and the next minute your laugh lines deepen with her witty repartee. This Ontario-grown girl not only amuses and entertains, but is a charming singer-songwriter that comes in an all-in-one, neatly-wrapped package.
As a solo-performer and member of the two-time award winning folk-roots trio the Good Lovelies, Kerri Ough divides her time between lone-song-writing capers in her basement and frantic-touring across Ontario with the band.
A velvety voice coupled with clever song writing gives Kerri an edge over the average singer-songwriter roaming Toronto's sweet streets. Throw in humourous stage antics with unabashed personal story-telling and you get Kerri Ough: True-Blue Entertainer.
Kerri's music has aired on community and college radio stations, and her song "Old Lady" held the top spot on the "Women of the 90's" Top 20 Program for four consecutive weeks.
With her band's current (insane) performance schedule, Kerri has opted to spend her free time hunkered down in the studio with producer Adam King finishing her first -- and hugely-anticipated -- full-length album set for release in January 2008.

Band Members: Kerri Ough (O): acoustic guitar, keys, vocals, belly drumming. Brian Oliver: guitars, electric and acoustic; banjo, harmonica, e-bow drones. Paul Banwatt: percussion, sometimes djembe, claps, finger snaps, and a plethora of other percussive instruments.Working with producer Adam King on the anticipated Debut Album.These days I am playing my fingers raw and singing my throat dry as a team with Sue Passmore and Caroline Brooks (of the Brooks Sisters) refining harmonies and rehearsing our potty mouths for public consumption.You're likely to find me solo as Kerri O, or as a duo with The HoneyBuns; and on really special occasions as a trio with The Good Lovelies.

Sounds Like: The way processed cheese looks when you've melted it on a grilled cheese sandwich and then pull both exterior pieces of bread apart and the cheese tugs at both sides of the bread in its stringy, gooey form.
