About Me

Lead guitarist Roy Coston is the man who makes LoveBone hard. The well known veteran of the Central New York rock scene started his lengthy recording career with ARDENT. "Guilty as Charged" was released and the band toured extensively in the mid 80's. "Falling Over the Edge" was featured on the Ann Boleyn's New Renaissance Label Compilation,"Lady Killers Volume II". "All or Nothing" appeared on the WRCK Rock 107 compilation record. On their 1988 album, "Nothing Exceeds Like Excess", the NWOBHM, from New Castle, England, RAVEN, Roy provided backing vocals on four songs. He traveled the East Coast with RAVEN, serving as a Guitar Technician for the band. As the 80's came to a close, Roy joined DC STRUT as they emerged as a major regional force featuring a sleaze, hard rock attitude. "STRUT" was short lived, but received major label attention, magazine, fanzine, and video interest. FOUR LARGE MEN entered the 90's with their independent release, "F.L.M." Several landmarks included Perris Records, "Volume 1", and Iron Man Records, "The Best of the Unsigned Volume 1". Unfortunately, F.L.M.'s second release "Its a Small World", never got to see the light of day. The band worked with John Gallagher of RAVEN, David DeFeis of VIRGIN STEELE, Bob Acquaviva,Todd Hobin and received Independent attention. Over the last several years Roy has been writing, performing, and releasing material with his current band LoveBone. Releases include, LoveBone's "BareBones Demo", Perris Records Hollywood Hairspray Volume 7, Versailles Records Skater Rock Compilation 1/2/3, Versailles Records Lick It Up - A Millennium Tribute to Kiss" with the bonus disc Strip Rock Volume 1/2, A.O.G Media Compilation Volume 5, Metal Doll Records Volume 1. Co-writing credits, include releases by Caroline Blue. Former Cats In Boots/Heavy Bones vocalist Joel Ellis asked Roy to provide guitar tracks for a studio demo project recorded in Cleveland, Ohio at Galahad Recording Studios. Roy has attended several seminars at the Foundations Forum in Los Angeles, CA and Empire Music conference in Rochester, NY dating back to 1989 right up to the present. Roy has also held guitar clinics at Oneida Music and Canton College. Roy has shared the stage with many artist over the years, including Blue Oyster Cult, Saraya, Raven, Brighton Rock, Orleans, Ice Water Mansion, New York Flyers, Poison Dollys, David De Feis of Virgin Steele and Benny Mardones.Reviews/Interviews from Magazines, Fanzines, Radio Stations, from all over the world, Belgium, Germany, South Africa, Slovenia, Italy, and Canada, as well as throughout the USA.
