harold and maude is number one. i saw it in the theatre when it first came out and have watched it many times since then. interesting to see it has become a cult classic. also like "young frankenstein" with gene wilder. brilliant comedy.ah, yes...suddenly visions of charlie chaplin...funny, yet profound...not afraid to speak his mind. this clip comes from the 1940 movie, "the great dictator". while he won acclaim for this movie, it also almost destroyed him. he was labeled a communist by many which badly hurt his career. when i saw that movie, it was settled in my mind...chaplin was a genius. oh...check out robert downey jr. portraying chaplin in the movie "chaplin". his performance was spot on!

during the regular season, i enjoy watching grey's anatomy, e.r., jericho and lost. come january, it will be a mad scramble to try and add american idol into the mix. if i am in need of pure brain candy, then shows like the bachelor usually do the trick.
brave new world by aldous huxley
personally: my father and daughter
globally: charlie chaplin, john lennon, barack obama, bono, and thousands more who sacrifice their own comforts and saftey in order to save lives and try to "save the world". bravo to them, and thanks to them. oh yes...and mike, bill, nick and v. they may not be bono, but they do their own thing to help others. i really respect that, and them.
