About Me

I've been drawing or painting since I was a young kid. I often draw, paint, or create with canvas,wood, paper or anything else that has a sturdy surface. I'll use any medium but I'm fond of oils and charcoal. The basis of my art is the fascinating change that takes place in the brain at any given moment. The CHANGE is the one constant in the world and we adjust on positive or negative terms with our world and it's surroundings. Much of the recovery art is geared towards the metamorphosis of the individual at the time of what some call a spiritual experience, moment of clarity, etc. etc. The rest of the art is the process or experience of physical, psychological and verbal trauma as emotional pain and anguish as it flows and purges from/through the soul. Of course not all of what you'll see is that straight forward but if you look close enough you may relate. I am married to Brenda and we have two beautiful kids Marle (9) and Gabe (5). They are already drawing with dad in the basement art room. Marle's art was recently displayed at the Eagle Rock Art Museum.

Love to read but not enough time in the day so I usually read a few books per year and keep my head in National Geographic, Juxtapoz, Revolver, Outside, and Muscle and Fitness mags.

GOD, Brenda, Marle, Gabe, Tony and Ofelia Padron, Maribel Padron, Cindy Vides, Ofelia Andrews, Daneyra Padron, Tom Fagen, The Hills, Alex Grey, Zdzislaw Beksinski, Gustave Dore, William Blake, Giger, Chet Czar, Cam Le Leon, Ramiro Rodriquez, Dali, Da Vinci,Ernst Fuchs, Martin Luther King, Mother Teresa, all recovering drunks and junkies, and especially my buddy Bill Brown.
