I began playing guitar at the age of 16 and played in a slew of rock, blues, and cover bands. I relocated to Memphis in 1989 and became increasingly influenced by it's versatile music scene. As music changed over the years and I made new friends I began to track guitar for rap music. It worked out to my advantage as it has made me able to collaborate with many artists as opposed to trying to keep 4 or 5 guys in a band on the same page. It is exciting to be a part of a genre that's open to a eclectic mix of musical styles.
As I grind out these tracks in the studio, I pump real blood into the mechanized loops of hip hop and underground beats with riffs and licks influenced by all other genres of my musical history. I stay focused on just feeling the vibe and blending it all together tastefully.
You can catch me live with my current group C.I.A. "Crackers in Action" doing shows in the M-Town cuttin it up on stage with Trey Veach, Richard Bunkley, and DJ Rewind.
