About SoFla Records......
SoFla Records is a Miami based punk label birthed in 2003 to 1)help promote and sponsor the local South Florida scene and bands 2) to help promote and work with other scene oriented bands and individuals not from South Florida. 3)To create our own fun.
Our first three releases were recieved well among the Miami punks as well as abroad. Why Not's "Caution:Wet Floor", Tampa's Hopesick's "Look What You've Done", and our first compilation entitled "So Fla So Good So What." a showcase of Florida's best punk and hardcore bands. Reviews and stuff of the Cds will eventually be added to our website.
We have alot going on in 2006. Hopesick's second SoFla release a five-song E.P. tentatively titled "Highly Contagious" is in the post-production stages soon to be released. We are working hard to get new lines of shirts and merchandise, and to get them slotted for Warped Tour if only the Florida dates. The first album "Look What You've Done" is still available through Interpunk, Smartpunk, and the several Hot Topic stores around the Tampa area. As some of you may have heard the band Why Not has been dropped from the label, mostly becasue they broke up, though its not for me to say. It is unfortuenate because we were almost done recording the second album which was sure to be super hot!!!!!! Needless to say, most Why Not stuff still available will be discounted cheap so if you havent gotten any nows the time. Shirts will be sold for $4.00 instead of the regular 7, and copiesof the first album "Caution:Wet Floor" will be going for $3 instead of the running $5 rate. These items can be found through our website, Interpunk, Smartpunk, or at shows. Also, we will be releasing a burnt copy of the finished tracks of the second album entitled "Tales of the Yard War", for all those Why Not fans who never got to here the news songs, or chapter in the Why Not book. Again its a damn shame cuz the album was really going to kick ass.With the void left by Why Not, we are actviely on the search for a few more bands to add to our roster and put out releases for. Hopesick's album soon to be available in Hot Topic stores.
