Band Members: Mitchell Ohlman - Vocals / Lead GuitarDoug Mitchell - GuitarJeff Dahlin - Bass Jonah David - Drums

Influences: You wouldn't think these four guys would have their shit together enough to figure out how to plug in their instruments, but sure enough, they did, and for years they've been playing the particular brand of melodic punk that's beloved by so many, but difficult to find these days.Founded by Mitch Ohlman, a former speed addict who previously spent most of his free time stealing car stereos, Costello is basically a one-man dictatorship with Mitch at the helm. Known for his profanity-laden screaming fits, Mitch can often be found yelling at other band members, expressing sentiments such as "I can replace every fucking one of you!" and "You can play the song however the fuck you want at home, but when you're here, you play it my way!".Doug Mitchell (Margate, Holiday Road) has put up with Ohlman the longest, perhaps in an effort to marry him, creating the couple of Douglas and Mitchell Mitchell. Doug hails from North Carolina. That's right, North Carolina. We don't know fuck all about that place either. Sounds like it's in the deep South or something. He plays in several other bands and seldom bothers to attend Costello practices, due to his intense dislike of Ohlman and the bands repeated rejection of his attempts to introduce a "felching" segment to their live show..Jeff Dahlin (Losing Out, Skanadia) "plays bass" in the band, and his lousy "playing" skills keep his status in the band in constant limbo. Widely regarded as the most unoriginal mebmber of an already unoriginal band, Jeff continues his quest to get as much mileage out of already recycled bass riffs as humanly possible. At the time this bio went to print, Dahlin is currenly the target of several copywrite infringement lawsuits. Most noteably, his less than valient attempt to "subtly draw inspiration from" (Jeff-speak for 'directly-lift') the baseline from Fallout Boy's hit single "Dance Dance".Jonah (formerly Matisyahu's drummer) was hired as part of an Affirmative Action program for Jews, which Costello got suckered into somehow. Jonah spends most of his time trying to convert the other band members to Judaism, which is ironic, being that the band took it's name in honor of the infamous pork hot-dog eating king Kobayashi Costello. This bunch of losers rarely play shows, instead choosing to pay rent at a practice studio to hone their skills for no discernable reason. If you're lucky, you may catch them at a rare booking near Los Angeles (a better place to look would be the sketchy 'massage' parlor near Jeff's house).Inspite of themselves, Costello have managed to release two critically acclaimed full length albums on the southern California indie imprint High School Records. 2005's "Scatterbrain", followed up by 2006's "In Vino Veritas". 2008 finds Costello hard at work on their follow up to In Vino. Tentatively titled "There's a whole lotta gay in this band...", Costello plans a digital & hardcopy release for this album some time in early 2009.ps: The above accounts are factually accurate.
