Writing, reading, music, film (ie. living :P).
Evil Bill and Ted.
Changes with my moods. Classical: Tiersen, Savall, Marais, Purcell, Bach, Shankar (anything big and pompous or with a sitar basically). Hip Hop: Tribe Called Quest, Too Short, Slick Rick, Kid and Play, Jay Z, Nas, k-os, Deltron. Jazz: Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Anita O'Day (the obvious ones :P) Helen Merrill, Shirley Horn, Blossom Dearie, Antony and the Johnsons, and of course John Coltrane and Miles Davis. Rock (perhaps my true love): Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Supertramp, Black Sabbath (pretty much all the typical classics, you can pretty much assume what I like in this area cause anything I state will be the obvious). Hard Rock/Light Metal ;): Judas Priest, Iron Maiden. Metal: right now I'm enjoying Blind Guardian, 3 Inches of Blood and Queensryche (not much of a growler fan though). God I'm terrible at labels to be honest... what else? Hmmm... Folk: Robyn Carrigan, Gallarjhorn (I may have butchered their name) are two I enjoy listening to right now. Ah and some forever favourites: Portishead, Smashing Pumpkins, Tilt, Queens of the Stone Age, Mazzy Star, Kyuss, Eagles of Death Metal, Bjork... k this section will end up going on forever so I'll stop now.
Yeah... I'm a movie whore. I watch a movie a day at least. So... SOME favourites, cause I'm too indecisive to decide on any one. Horror (my truest love): Hellraiser (mostly just I and II), the Shining, Sleepaway Camp trilogy, Ju on (just part I), Psycho Beach Party, the Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween and Friday the 13th series (I'm getting a bit more tolerant of Jason Takes Manhattan)... and much much more. Comedy: Porky's trilogy (Porky's 1 being one of my absolute favourite movies ever), just about any Monty Python flick, Clerks (I suppose this was sort of a drama too though...), Mallrats, just about any Mel Brooks film, though I suppose I'm esp. keen on Blazing Saddles. Romance (I as a rule hate romances but there are a couple that stand out): Buffalo 66, True Romance, Bonnie and Clyde. ... Super Hero movies: Darkman might be my favourite, but I also enjoy just about all the Batmans (except batman and robin, which I won't even grace with the upper case). Sci Fi: Oh god just about anything set in a dystopic society -- Mad Max, Logan's Run, A Clockwork Orange, Dark City, V for Vendetta. Fantasy: Last Unicorn, Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, Legend (it's bad but oh so good). Musical: Rocky Horror Picture Show, Phantom of the Paradise. More teenage flicks (which besides horror and dystopia flicks might be my favourite): American Grafitti, Dazed and Confused.
Beverly Hills 90210, Degrassi (again with the teenagers), CSI: Miami (come on the guy's name is Horatio!), hmm... smut smut smuttt... X-files, Buffy, the Tick, Batman the animated series, Adam West's Batman, Family Guy, the Boondocks, South Park...
Master and Margarita, the White Guard, Perfume, Grimms fairy tales, Preacher comic series, Princess Bride, Chaucer's Canterbury Tales (particularly the Miller's Tale ;)), the Moonstone, Good Omens (my long-standing favourite), American Gods, Another Roadside Attraction, Jitterbug Perfume, um... I'm an English Lit major so... this list could really go on for a long time...
hmm...
