About Me

**INDEPENDENT REVIEW FROM THE DIRTY RIDER CLUB** Just over a year ago I saw a band that was " a fusion of jazz, blues and funk." they were truly shite and confirmed thoughts that I had that bands that straddle more than one musical genre simply lack direction, watering down the various elements of different musical styles. It was bearing this in mind that I was pleasantly surprised by The Riding Lights, a band that incorporates many genres and does so extremely successfully. Built upon a base of Rolling Stone-esque Rock n Roll and Country Rock, The Riding Lights combined all, fanatically whipping up the crowd into a frenzy with pounding, driving rock n roll, the like of which is seen all to rarely these days. Add to this a saxophonist that added sometimes Zuton-esque, sometimes, even, Miles Davis vibes to songs, great song dynamics and, basically, bloody good rock n roll...The Riding Lights have been going down well in the US on their recent gigs there, and on this showing it is not too hard to see why. Excellent (JM)div
