About Me

"I've dedicated my life to music so far. And every time I've let it slip and gotten somewhere else, it's showed. Music lasts. A lot longer than relationships do" - Neil Young...Eloquently and poetically stating the trials of life, Regan breathes truth into ones listening ear. Complimented with subtle music and melodies these messages can clearly be heard. Meanwhile one will find themselves captivated without understanding exactly why, but you'll find yourself listening again. Drawing inspiration from the inevitable changes one experiences growing up; building and breaking relationships, leaving home and finding it. Even if it be learning the hard way. Regan displays her profound lyricism through the traditions of Bluegrass and the modernisms of today's alternative folk rock.Born in small town Indiana, Regan found music at an early age, studying piano violin and guitar. Songwriting came naturally as she gained confidence in her new found artistry. Thanks to her wide realm of artistic influences such as Natalie Merchant, Counting Crows, Patty Griffin and Ryan Adams (just to name a few), she decided to start writing and completed her first song at age 14. She began to share her journal of thoughts with the world, playing wherever she could at local churches, venues and coffee shops. After establishing a fan base in Indiana, she found the encouragement she needed to move to Nashville and pursue music.I've loved music my entire life. I love the form and structure, the melodies and harmonies, the cadences and the color. And most of all, the unknown component it possesses that makes music continually sustain us. To me, music conveys a sensation that cannot be communicated in any other way. Performing is my way of sharing with the audience my true self. It's the pure, untainted, raw form of me and my compositions. Regan has conquered finding that comfortable outlet for expressing her thoughts and emotions in a way her audiences can relate.

The sky is yellow tonight. It makes her silhouettes seem like an even richer ebony. The wind is making the shadows in my room dance wildly. I'm tired. I can't sleep. Maybe I could if there was someone...
