Regan J. Cairns

Originating from the North East of England, Regan Cairns has spent most of his life, dedicated to music as a musician/songwriter. His band Raw Deal represents the all encompassing musical style which was uniquely Raw Deal and is so to this day.From an early stage of his musical development, his talents were very quickly recognised by Alexis Korner, the grandfather of the English blues movement (mentor of such bands as "The Stones", "Free" and "Led Zeppelin"), and Regan went on to be Alexis's last British guitar protege.These skills then came to the notice of Rolling Stones keyboard player, Ian Stewart, who in turn introduced him to Chris Kimsey, the producer of the Stones.This ultimately led to Regan signing a major recording deal, with Atlantic Records in New York, under the directorship of Derek Schulman, who was responsible for the discovery of "Bon Jovi". Management duties were performed by Larry Mazer, whose impressive track record included "Kiss" and "Pat Benatar", being under his managerial umbrella.Regan is currently writing material for a new album, with Markus Merz on bass and Hendrik Herberhold on drums.As Cairns says, "I am taking blues, rock and soul and putting it into a pop format".Timeless songs for today, based on the simple values of good music.
