I wanna be a country rockstar!

About Me

Bred on folk, blues, pop and show tunes in the farm town of Waconia, Minnesota, singer/songwriter Jenn Bostic began performing in church and musical theater shows at age six; piano recitals at age seven. The youngest of two, she spent many evenings with her hobby musician father and older brother Jeff around a guitar or piano singing after her mother’s home cooked dinners. A happy childhood throughout her early years was roughly interrupted by a tragic car accident that killed her father at age ten. By thirteen she was writing her own music as therapy, with her first debut, “Being Without You.”
Jenn’s high school experience was full of musical activity. From her leadership roles in a highly competitive show choir, performing in a variety of musicals, playing percussion in band, twelve years of varied dance training, and recording as a featured vocalist in a local folk/country/blues band known as Traveled Ground, she rarely suffered from boredom. Show choir was the biggest part of Bostic’s teenage life, who’s competitions led her to a solo on the Grande Old Opry stage in Nashville, Tennessee, at age eighteen, where her love for country music all began.
As her passion for music and performing grew, Jenn found herself at the world famous Berklee College of Music. Studying primarily under country/pop artist Didi Stewart, she became well educated in the popular country genre. Performing in a variety of Berklee shows, including country ensemble, storytellers, and Singer’s Showcase, Jenn’s high energy performing abilities continued to strengthen. By February of 2006, Bostic hit the club circuit as the lead singer of east coast country band DiggerDawg. This opportunity led to a variety of high profile openers including Alan Jackson, Tracy Byrd, Julie Roberts, Josh Turner, Jo Dee Messina, Montgomery Gentry, Kelli Pickler, Sugarland, Trace Adkins, Gary Allan, Reba McEntire and Gretchen Wilson.
With the continuation of DiggerDawg, Jenn is currently branching off as a solo artist. She has begun this journey by writing a variety of country/pop/rock tunes with many talented musicians & writers. This up and coming artist will relocate to Nashville in September of '08 to fulfill her dream of becoming a CoUnTrY RoCkStAr! Enjoy!
