WOLPE

Matt Wolpe, the mind and voice behind Wolpe, is a dominant song writer and multi skilled musician. Playing guitar, keys, and singing lead vocals on the recent "Wolpe" ep is just a meer taste of Matt Wolpe's true talents. Wolpe started off like most boys, banging on pots and pans. This later turned into a real passion for his first true love, The Drums. Wolpe started playing drums at the age of 9 and quickly fell into the jazz scene, where he honed his skills winning various awards for his playing throughout his teenage years. In middle school however, things changed a little bit. Wolpe was ready to uprade his stage position from back behind the drums to up in front of the Mic. At the age of 12 he bought his first guitar with some birthday money and tought himself the wicked ways of the wandering minstrel's favorite instrument. After a slew of high school musicals and professional acting work Wolpe decided to persue theatre in college. He attended The Boston Conservatory of Music for Musical Theatre. Needing a change of environment and having a strong urge to continue his musical expressionism once more he transferred to Berklee College of music to finish out his College career. Needless to say, Boston changed his life. There he met such great friends as well as band mates and writing parteners, Andrew Dixon, Brad Fischer, and Copper Jensen. Now currently residing in Los Angeles, Wolpe writes with a slew of up and coming artists and has had the privilege of continuing his work with Dixon, as well as so many new great collaborators. Wolpe is an artist, a songwriter, an actor, a musician, a friend, and sometimes a lover, but most of all, Wolpe is an entertainer. Wolpe has been seen everywhere from The Paradise Rock Club and The Hardrock Cafe in Boston, The The Roxy The Whiskey, and the Viper Room in Los Angeles.
