Born and raised in KY , I spent a little over 6 years in the US Navy chasing Soviet submarines around the Pacific Ocean and now live about 40 miles southwest of Chicago with my beautiful bride of the past 21 years. I've worked for Tellabs for about 17 years now, most of it as a Unix system administrator . But that's really gotten old and not much fun anymore...so I have this fantasy that maybe someday I'll open up my own studio and be a photographer for a living. Maybe it'll happen, maybe it won't. I've been in the photography program at College of DuPage for almost 7 years now. I've learned alot and come a long way, but there's so much more to learn and create. To paraphrase Thomas Jefferson , though I'm an old man, I'm a young photographer. I hope to go pro in the foreseeable future...once I actually put down the pipe and come up with a workable plan.
Feel free to check out my photos. Comments and critiques are welcome and encouraged.

I went to see John Prine at the Chicago Theater last Friday - and I have to say, of all the times I've seen him live, that had to be the best show of his I've ever experienced. Not only is the Chicago...
