Born just north of Chicago April graduated from night school in 2001 after being sent to a behavioral disorder school due to hard times she couldn’t avoid as a teenager.
"I was always about going against the ‘normal’, mainstream way of life.â€
After high school she became certified by RVA to speak for and work as a sexual assualt medical crisis counselor at 15 Chicago emergency rooms.
“Helping someone in the first few hours after a crisis like this is extremely intense, the right words can be so effective in recovery.â€
Soon after her certification she became an emergency medical technician, (EMT) where she found herself unable to practice due to the excessive amount of speeding tickets she accumulated over her teenage years.
“The insurance company wouldn’t cover me to drive the ambulance, isn’t that proof I can get around fast!â€
From 2003 - 2006 April also worked for the Morton Grove park district, just outside of Chicago with children and adults with disabilities.
“This sounds cliché I know, but it’s truly some of the most rewarding work I’ve done.â€
Alongside everything, April has a been working as a model in print and runway since 2003. In May of 2007 she became a spokes model for the Chicago rock radio station WLUP 97.9 The Loop.
“I loved working for the radio station; it finally gave me an opportunity to put a personality behind myself instead of just being a face in the modeling world.â€
Recently she has worked with Comcast in commercials including Auto Fix and Vehix.com. She was also a guest on the NBC Matty Blake show covering the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Baltamore statium and NBC's 'Football Night In America' Sundays at 6pm. Currently she is MAXIM Magazines 2008 Hometown Hotties finalist and the new spokes person for the ABC show 'The Chicago Huddle', airing every Sunday @ 10:30am on ABC 7.
Hobbies include Gracie/Brazilian jiu- jujitsu, the marshal art which became famous on account of Hoyce Gracie from the UFC.

And horseback riding, which she competed in for many years. But most importantly hates centipedes and spelling and loves country music! Yee Haww!
