Actually, we were SOLD by African Kings to Europeans for material things, which we still fight and kill each other over today. If you kick back and pay attention to what percent of your day you spend chasing money and goods, these things that have no real value other than what you were TOLD its worth. This Little green paper with former slave owners's faces.....to remind you of your position....a modern day slave. We talk about the "trap" all over the radio.....thats the realest term ive heard in a long time.So a black man is dealt a bad handgramma and grandpa didnt leave too much for mama and popsso all we got is the hustle......but what the fuck you hustlin for??? money, jewels? the same shit Gramma and Grandpa was traded for....so now im caught up on the block....not realizin that "THEM BOYS" is watchin my every move while im "trappin".....trappin what? trappin myself. So "THEM BOYS" raid the block and empty all our pockets....and take us to jail (the plantation) for trappin (ourselves). So now i gotta start all over......with they eyes on me, waitin for me to trap myself again for this monopoly money....because gramma and grandpa didnt leave nothin behind for us.So now when i grow up and have grandbabies.....they can be trapped too, cause as soon as my shorty turn 2, im puttin my phone in her nameSo by the time she grown, she lookin for one of these niggaz thats trappin....cause gramma and grandpa didnt leave nothin behind for her, and thats all her daddy used to do.......and the cycle continuesthis cycle is in fact......THE TRAP......(MODERN DAY SLAVERY)2nd album flopped, now im back on the grind

RIP to "Black Jack"
i wish you could be back, Jack,
gotta make a move now or im gonna lose out
better make a move now, i dont wanna lose out!!!!!!!!music game!!...you need a back up plan!!this goes out to all my people tryin to make it in the rap game. This industry is all about WHO YOU KNOW, and thats the bottom line. this industry doesnt work like other businesses. there aint no qualifications that guarantees you a job or a record deal, it is strictly dependant on PEOPLE. its all about your ATTITUDE and CHARISMA and your ability to "seduce" a CROWD. just cause you can rap, dont mean you got what it takes to make a hit. in order to be successful in this business, you have to surround yourself with other SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE. The people who are successful, most likely, have a circle of successful people that they stay surrounded by. and most people in this business who are successful are NOT looking for new friends. This business is based on relationships and personalities. if you are out here grindin, and got hot shit, and you are still wondering WHY you havent "made it", try examining your surroundings. is everyone around you trying to do what you do? or at least pushing you further? "using" people is not the same as staying surrounded with people that can help you excel. You dont have to feel funny about cutting certain things off if its not benefitting you. I know that we as artists can get caught up in the dream of being in the spotlight on tv and having money and all that, but you cant lose track of REAL LIFE. 9 out of 10 of us will waist our whole lives chasing something that we never knew what it took to get it. basically all im saying is that, this business, its not all heaven and what you see on tv, there is a dark, dark, underground reality that lies underneath all the glamour and glory you see on tv. in order to make it in anything, you have to set a PLAN for YOURSELF. if you dont follow that plan, you can expect to be washed away in the midst of plans of OTHERS. a lot of brothers just coast thru life, hoping to get discovered for what they feel they do best. but understand, if you are not "FRIENDS" with those who are successful at what you are trying to do, its gonna take grindin, and endless hours of work with no reward before you see any results. this is just a reality check for those who dont really understand the business and what to expect. so that you dont wake up and realize you just turned 35 years old, and still spending all your money on studio time and pressing up mixtapes. understand what you wanna do, understand whats gonna make you happy, and know when to "quit". quitting does not mean giving up, it just means being realistic when you realize that you will not be able to fulfill your goal. believe it or not, these are meant to be words of encouragement for everyone who has a goal and wants to achieve it. much love and respect to all those righteous souls.
