dnb, randomnity, spontaneous acts of theatre, aesthetics of food, marzipan, the twisted and the dark, London and all its byproducts, grammar, Latin, Spanish, English (but don't you dare call me a romantic), chess, chinchillas, the power of the message (i'm in advertising for a reason), being surrounded by talent of all kinds, coincidences we see and those we miss, and above all: laughter--the spice of life. One such spicy moment appears here in all its POWER-LABIA prowess
I could do a lunch date with David Lynch. I'd love to meet my grandfathers, who left this world before I showed up. And that person I've already passed on the freeway about 20 times without having any idea they'd one day be a really good friend.
my heart and soul follow the drums and the bass. my mind belongs to morrissey. (and the music from sweeney todd, the darkest, most wickedly wonderful musical ever--thanks, sondheim!!)
Three Amigos, Clash of the Titans, The Usual Suspects, that Japanese flick with the women neighbors who had opposite eating disorders (anyone remember the name?? it was their apt numbers... 301/302?), The Burbs (yeah, that's right, you heard me), The South Park Movie, Young Sherlock Holmes, Lost Highway (David Lynch is a brilliant wackadoo), What Dreams May Come, The Shining (the driving scene alone sealed the deal for me), Moron Movies
FAMILY GUY, Lost, Robot Chicken, The Soup (I don't respond to threats made by BANGIN' hair!), South Park .. width="425" height="350" ..
Earlier this year, I seemed to be on this kick of reading books that were completely WRONG for my state of mind. Running with Scissors when I was at my most unhappy, starting some novel about a girl who couldn't find a job to save her life when I lost my job, etc. I think I've finally rid myself of that trend, however.
lisette rosales--a legend. my parents. old school, yet liberal. caring, yet not imposing or judgemental. ever-accepting of who I am. in love and deserving of it. rock on, padres!
