Band Members: It´s been a while since this band from the spanish region of Asturias shocked the national hard rock scene with it´s debut album “Sleazy warriors” (2004, Boomerang Discos). A bit later the group was featured in the compilation “Calzada news” (2005, XL). In 2006 Boomerang records released “Children of Rock and Roll” a collection of old demos from the band plus a video and a couple of unreleased covers. The band spent some of 2005 and 2006 on the road in Spain playing with bands such as Nuevo Catecismo Católico, Maggot Brain, Smoking Bird, Burning, The Smokers, CJ Sleez from Canada, Adler`s Appettite, Zen Guerrilla y Custom Made Scare (USA), The Toy Dolls (UK)... Then came october of 2006. That´s when the Punishers jailed themselves in Eclipse Studios with Dani D. Sevillano on the boards… after a year of hard work FASTER, HARDER, DEEPER was born. But recording it´s not all that the band has done this year. They toured Italy and played in a couple of rock festivals, like Gijon Metal Fest II in wich they opened for Motörhead. Besides Perris Records, a renowned Hard Rock label, featured songs from the group among bands from all over the world in two compilations. This has also been the year that Hermes, the band´s bass player for almost nine years, parted ways with the Punishers (in an amicable way) with Nico, from the southern rock project Bill Bullet, filling in. That was a natural move because Nico isn´t only a great four string slapper but drummer´s Little Thunder baby brother and has always been a friend of the group (not to mention he´s been roadie and personal manager for the band ocasionally!!!) . Though they know it´s a not an easy time for rock and roll nowadays the PUNISHERS keep on truckin´ despite they will have a decade of hard work behind them in 2008. They may be Bolder, fatter, more tattooed and with a few more hangovers to tell but they keep the same hunger for hard rock!!!!” Sleaze Lord ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------“Queda lejano el tiempo en el que la banda asturiana sacudió la escena nacional con “Sleazy Warriors” (2004, Boomerang Discos), poco después vió la luz el recopilatorio “Calzada News” (2005, XL), un año más tarde en 2006, Boomerang Discos edita “Children of Rock and Roll” lo que serían las antiguas demos de THE PUNISHERS en formato de recopilatorio incluyendo un vídeo y versiones inéditas hasta la fecha. A lo largo de 2005 y 2006 la banda recorre la península tocando con gente como Nuevo Catecismo Católico, Maggot Brain, Smoking Bird, Burning, The Smokers, CJ Sleez de Canada, Adler`s Appettite, Zen Guerrilla y Custom Made Scare de USA, The Toy Dolls de UK... y en octubre de 2006 se encierran en los estudios Eclipse de Oviedo bajo los mandos de Dani D. Sevillano… después de un duro año de grabación, por fin sale a la luz FASTER, HARDER, DEEPER. Pero en 2007 no sólo han estado grabando, han tenido tiempo de ir hasta Italia a presentar sus anteriores trabajos y han tocado en diversos festivales de verano, destacando el Gijon Metal Fest II donde abrieron para Motörhead. Además Perris Records, el prestigioso sello americano de Hard Rock les saca dos canciones en dos compilaciones junto a bandas de todo el mundo. Este año 2007 ha sido además el año en el que Hermes, bajista de la banda durante casi 9 años ha tenido que dejar su puesto en las cuatro cuerdas (de manera amistosa e inevitable) y ha entrado en su lugar Nico, bajista de la formación asturiana Bill Bullet y hermano de Little Thunder, además de manager ocasional, roadie y amigo de la banda. Conscientes de la difícil situación que vive el rock and roll en la actualidad, THE PUNISHERS siguen adelante a pesar de todo y en 2008 cumplirán 10 años desde su formación.
