REVIEWS
"This British foursome creates rich sonic landscapes, each as unique as a snowflake.
"Put on those headphones, close your eyes, and let them transport you to some faraway place."
Speed of Dark
"Disenchanted with dogma that's high on hype and short on substance? Not up for neon, instead reaching for darker shades of Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails? Fancy foreboding funk, bleak beauty and a whole other world of goodness? Take a shine to the brilliance of goldroom.
"Skillfully weaving together a personal sound which is heavyweight yet interspersed with sublime moments of light relief."
Lee Hodkinson, The Blue Light District
"Imagine an even more abstract Radiohead and you come close to the creative musical world of goldroom. A mix of melancholic male vocals, crunching guitars, and a variety of electronic textures from ambient to breakbeat make this U.K. group one to check out."

BIO
Founded at Legoland after a chance meeting between an Irish beekeeper and an Austrian kiosk, goldroom started life as a catering company providing canapés at corporate functions.
Disillusioned with life at the blunt end of business hospitality a secret meeting was held in a Kingston phone box daubed with the words ‘cheap models’.
There they formed the outline of a plan so deviously cunning it would only be known as Cork Beards and Carpet Joints – a four-phase incremental development of canapé distribution to cover the next five years.
While in the phone booth a mystery call from an entity thought to be the spirit of Michaela Strachan, told the astonished young tykes that their future was no longer in catering and taught them a song that would see them revolutionise popular music.
It turned out to be the theme from Wackaday, but unperturbed the boys built instruments and each learned to play two different notes.
Using their knowledge of small slices of bread toasted or sautéd in butter and spread with a savory paste of meats, fish, or vegetables, goldroom was formed.
After years of searching goldroom are:
Joe Bond- vocals, keyboards, attitude.
Gareth Price- guitars, attitude.
Dan Murdoch- bass, rehearsal space.
Ross Saunders- guitars, programming, brains.
goldroom was founded by school friends Joe Bond and Ross Saunders in the mid-90s, and went through various incarnations before settling on the latest line-up at the end of 2005.
Unable to find a drummer who could play to the boy’s drum’n’bass and breakbeat leanings, goldroom use a machine.
