About Me

{www.cre8myspace.com}

DJ ERK a.k.a ERKEL, Ramon D. Guillermo, born in Methuen, raised in Lawrence started his musical journey at the age of fourteen (14) . Influenced and mentored by a talented Hood Legend, DJ Clash and many more professional/celebrity DJ's such as Jam Master Jay , Tony Touch, Doo Wop, Kool DJ Red Alert, Jazzy Jeff, Kid Capri,Spindarella, S&S and Chubby Chub just to name a few, he watched, listened and learned the skill and continues to try and perfect it to the highest capacity of his learning ability. Not only as a DJ but also as a future graphic designer/ engineer/ producer/ lyricist/ promoter eauntrepanuer.

DJ Erkel started out rocking basement house parties with one turntable & one tape deck. His older brother Da Chief and other family members worked and put together a numerous amount of house parties, jams etc., in the early 90's. By his junior year in high school he formed an entertainment team with a close friend(Jason Parreira a.k.a DJ Son) called ENJ Entertainment. He then incorporated himself to persue elementary schools, high schools and local halls to generate an under 21 fan base and a form of income through the love of what he liked to do best. Following these under 21 parties, dances and jams, ENJ Entertainment then started djing at local colleges, institutes and academies across the Northeastern Region of the United States, hosting events at local halls, venues and also recruiting local dj's to join the ENJ Entertainment movement, looking to expand into a bigger entertainment company. By the late 90's DJ Erkel & ENJ Entertainment had a high demand. This had then opened the horizons of making mixed tapes/cds, specialized dance mixes and creating more of a demand for himself.

By the year 1997 he was approached by a local club promoter who was looking for a person as with a character an a drive which he has for an official under 21club night in Lawrence, MA. Although he was looking to get into the 18/21 plus clubs and crowds he faithfully rolled with the punches of life and continued to persue his love for music. Approaching the manhood stages in his life Erkel then encountered a full time job to cater for himself & living costs. Leaving the music in a back burner and trying to establish a form of financial stability DJ Erkel ended up in a bind with the law. DJ Erkel served a sentence in between a maximum security prison & a minimum security prison. A couple of years after his incarceration he raised his baby girl Tiana for the first year of her life and began to continue where he left off on his musical escapade. DJ Erkel continues to strive and reach his goals as a father and a DJ. He is currently signed to Inscape Records as an exclusive DJ for Inscape Recording artist 360 (Lu Nox & Astro) and runs ENJ Entertainment and is a freelance graphic design but hopes to excel himself more into audio production and studio engineering.

DJ Erkel has traveled with his group to various cities and states and has had appearances in numerous amounts of clubs and venues in the U.S. and continues to exceed his coverage around the nation/ world. He has shared the Stage/DJ Booth with DJ Sammy Smoove, DJ Xstreme,DJ Elliott Ness, DJ Hot-2-Def, DJ Gera aka Geramatic, DJ Lus, DJ Dead Eye, DJ Son, DJ Gee Spin, DJ Roy Barboza, DJ Chubby Chub, DJ Doo Wop, DJ Tony Touch & DJ Green Lantern and artist such as Termanology, Dre Robinson, Lee Wilson, Fredro Starr of ONYX, Fat Joe, Tony Sunshine of Terror Squad , Prospect of Terror Squad, Styles P of D-Block, J.R.
