About Me
This site is dedicated to my original music. Recently I received a grant from the Kalamazoo Arts council to record and reproduce 1,000 cds containing 12 songs. I am currently recording at Magnolia Studios in Battle Creek. I plan on putting up new material as it progresses. The album is going to be somewhat of a concept album. Each song will morph into the next. Some of the most talented musicians in Kalamazoo will be adding their spices to the creative soup that will be this album. I have no specific plans except that it will be an album that is truely art that tells a story. Some songs are even being written in the process of recording.
So, something like that needs a website with music on it so here it is. Problem solved. Thanks myspace, you're the best! If you can't tell there is sarcasm dripping off of the end of the "t" in best. See that speck there in the corner? Sarcasm...lots of it.
Okay, all lameness aside. Music is my life, yada yada, its pretty much all I do. I teach guitar and bass lessons at Crescendo academy of music in downtown Kalamazoo. I teach a music and movement class to preschoolers once a week. I play and sing in the band Fractal. (See link below) I live in a cool house with incredibly talented musicians and artists. I stay up late and sleep in whenever I can. I'm really into yoga but not just in the physical sense, if you know what I mean than I'd love to talk with you about that. I have no religion but I am not blind, music is meditation for me, its how I connect with the creative continuum that I believe is in everyone. I cherish my friends. I love sitting on the porch and eating breakfast. My favorite word is aprobrium. Simple pleasures. All I need is my guitar and a notebook the size of Guam.
I'm still a tortured artist though, life is pain and all that stuff. Important ingredients...pain, suffering, being surrounded by wonderful people who love you as you journey on your slow decline into oblivian, angst, days on the beach, camping, black eyeliner, distortian petals, saxaphones, dust bunnies, pick-up lines, orange juice, electric shock therapy...
