I started studying the field of natural healing when I suffered with endometriosis, fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome, allergies and depression. The Western medical (allopathic) treatments were not helping, and were in fact, hurting the cause of wellness, so I finally started trying natural approaches.
I was very skeptical about natural approaches working for me, but I figured I didn't have anything to lose at that point. This changed my life...I got well by using natural approaches including herbs and supplements, aromatherapy, homeopathy, body work, changes in diet, changes in lifestyle and adding more exercise.
I have since become an Herbal Practitioner helping the general public since 1995, and I also make my own herbal and aromatherapy products under my business name, Terra Ken. We finally got to the point that we could open an actual storefront shoppe, and we will celebrate our 4 year anniversary of our shoppe in September of 2008. I have been in business making natural products since August of 1997.
My husband and I are originally from Michigan...he grew up in Detroit, and I grew up in Lansing. We lived in Enid, Oklahoma right after we were married as my husband was in the Air Force for almost 5 years. We moved to Athens, Georgia in June of 1997, and have been in the area ever since...we live more out in the rural areas these last several years, in the country and in the woods. WE LOVE IT...we have become such country bumpkins, it's not even funny anymore, ha ha!
