The band was a mainstay of London's Acid Jazz scene, resulting in debut recording 'Jackpot' (1998 CDV Music.) A lifelong dream was realised when Mal relocated to Los Angeles, California with the UK band Minibar; U.S. debut 'minimal' (2003 self release) documents his new home and friends made there. The song 'Too Sweet' from that album was ultimately featured on Focus Feature's 'Something New' Original Movie Soundtrack (2006 Lakeshore Records) whilst 'Turnaround' and 'Be a Leader' also found new homes (on Pete Yorn's 'Trampoline Records Greatest Hits Vol.2' and MTV's 'Road Rules Extreme' Soundtrack respectively.) Morello's latest album 'Handheld' (2007 self release) is a musical tribute to the early '80's synth-pop heroes of Mal's mispent youth - Prince, Giorgio Moroder and Yellow Magic Orchestra...................................................
