About Me

Born & raised in Paris,France. Growing up in a music-filled household, where he alternates listening to jazz, classical music, the Woodstock triple LP and the wagnerian hunting french horn dad insists on playing on Sunday mornings, PM builds his first guitar out of Lego, snobbing the Django-style guitar his father had purposedly hanged in the kids bedroom. While his grades in music class are good, racing trials motorcycles and learning bad guitar solos from early english rock bands seem to take the priority, until his sister saves him one afternoon in the early 70's by playing some amazing progressive jazz, namely Herbie Hancock, Mahavishnu Orchestra and Weather Report. After a proper inquiry in the not-so-distant bedroom, PM buys a bass the next day, and starts figuring out the instrument while attending his other passion, taking pictures. Following a degree in photography and design, and a very short experience in photo-journalism, he decides to make a career as a musician. Four years of self-teaching and tenacity later, he is working touring with local Parisian artists. PM somehow lands in Los Angeles, circa 1989. With an art form pulling in various directions, and while rapidly adapting to the local food habits, he is able -or rather, confronted- to experiment with different musical medias. As a bass player , producer or writer : Recording and performing with various artists, in Europe and the US (see partial list on website) Producing and composing for the television, commercial, movie and internet industry.(see website for movies and music samples). Actually writing new material for an upcoming album,"Music for films”. Sound Design: Co-produced Quantum Leap "Hardcore Bass" & "Hardcore Bass XP" software plug-ins
