I've never actually read any Jack Kerouac, but I came across that quote on someone else page and it pretty much sums me up in a nut shell. Much of my waking moments are spent working on some crazy art project whether it be with a pencil, computer, film, video or animation. I just love making stuff. I think the process is a bit of a pain-in-the-arse (LOL), but I love having something cool to show for in the end.
Asides from art, I'm contantly planning my next Surf trip somewhere around the world. I've surfed in France, Spain, Portugal, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Morocco, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru and Ecuador. I've also been on boring (LOL) non-surf trips all over Asia and Europe. Well... it's actually not boring, but it's more fun to have a surf theme to a trip than to just run around from city to city.
I think it's MUCH MORE interesting to stay in a small Central American village with local families; than it is to go see countless churches, architecture and museums while sitting by the pool. To see a side of life and culture drastically different their your own makes for the adventures that I find personally enriching. One of my coolest experiences was staying with La Familia Martinez in Nicaragua, and having the father tell me about the days of Guerilla warfare and the Sandanistas.
Basically, I love to TRAVEL and learn; and not vacation. There's a difference between the two. I can speak Chinese, and I'm always trying to improve my Spanish, so if anyone wants, I need all the help I can get.
Finally, I got some damn good dance moves and good rhythm for being Asian. And I drive very safely.
