Fashion, pop culture, old movies, cooking, reading. I am a compulsive thrift shopper & love watching BBC comedies
My friends - Because I never get to see enough of them!!!And of course, I always like to meet other people who love fashion....Also Prince...and Peter O'Toole...and John Waters...and Nigella Lawson...Monica Belucci...and Simon Pegg & Nick Frost...and Milo Ventimiglia...mmmmmm, Milo Ventimiglia...Wish I could have met Cary Grant, Edith Head, Marilyn Monroe...
Prince, D'Angelo, Stevie Wonder, Al Green, Jill Scott, N.E.R.D., Old Aretha, Gap Band, Mary J. Blige, U2, Beastie Boys, Garbage, Duran Duran, Madonna, Talk Talk, Simple Minds, The Cure, INXS, Psychedelic Furs, Culture Club, The Cult, White Stripes, The Hives, Keane, Goldfrapp, The Verve, Killers, Gnarls Barkley, etc., etc. and all the embarassing stuff I sing at the top of my lungs in the car when I'm alone! :)
Singin' in the Rain, Notorious, All About Eve, Laura, Rebecca, Gone with the Wind, Seven Year Itch, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Some Like it Hot, Kill Bill Vol. 1&2, Sin City, The Matrix, Shawn of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Hairspray (the original), Amelie, Diva, Run Lola Run, Bread & Tulips, Dirty Pretty Things, Superbad, Spinal Tap, Best in Show, Grandma's Boy, Animal House and, of course, Airplane! is still one of the funniest movies ever....And, the ultimate, Shawshank Redemption...
Fashionista that I am, I am addicted to America's Next Top Model, Project Runway, What Not To Wear, Absolutely Fabulous and Sex & The City on DVD (over and over again), The Office (both the British & American versions), Black Adder, Black Books, Little Britain, The IT Crowd, Spaced, American Gothic, Twin Peaks, Flight of the Conchords, The Daily Show, Heroes, Arrested Development, Family Guy, Best Week Ever, The Soup, Food Network. Most of all, I will always love Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel (I watch the reruns all the time)
Biographies of old movie stars and fashion icons, Stephen King, all the Harry Potters, The Dune Series and Prequels. ANYTHING by David Sedaris. And I can't believe I am admitting this, but it is my guilty pleasure to read all of those new chick-lit books set in the glamorous world of fashion or celebrity that seem to keep popping up by British and American authors. I have read great literature at different points in my life, but sometimes the trashy stuff is more fun.
As a little girl, Wonder Woman was my hero. I don't see any reason to change that....
