Sounds Like: A while later, Atlanta's The Lord Is My Shotgun took the stage and laid down some upbeat powerpop-punk-rock. This is what good powerpop should sound like. TLIMS makes amazing feel-good music - think Foo Fighters with more dynamics. The lead singer can belt it out. I bet he could sing AC/DC or The Doors with equal aplomb...GopherTunes.com
The gentle swaying of the night didnt last for long though. When the curtains opened , The Lord Is My Shotgun dominated the stage amongst a massive billowing of smoke and light. Their first song thrashed with punk-rock energy, giving the initial impression that this band was destined for a slot on the Warped Tour. That all changed quickly, however, as each song that followed showcased the bands true versatility.
Their formidable frontman has a remarkable set of lungs, with all the power and range of any classic rock singer. The highlight of the evening was the band's unlikely cover of Stereophonic's "Traffic". While the band provided just enough distortion to keep up the hard-rock sound, their singer proved his true range of emotion with a tender moving delivery...Southeast Performer Magazine
