About Me

I'm your average, run of the mill asshole specializing in hypocrisy and denial.

I'm anti war but not anti violence.

I'm pro queer everything but I hate the L Word...and most pop queer culture.

I'm pro community but I prefer being alone.

I'm anti smoking, but man, do I miss cigarettes.

I'm anti Washington but I still vote.

My Interests

Playing music, writing music, writing poetry, drawing, messing with cars, sleeping outside, sleeping on a friend's floor, anything to do with dogs except dog fighting, skateboarding, snowboarding, surfing, making changes, climbing trees, swimming in the ocean even though I can't swim well, driving my girlfriend nuts, starting revolutions- even small ones

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who wants to play in a queercore/punk/thrash/ska/whatever band. You don't have to be queer, just really queer friendly. If that's you, email me. No drug addicts/alcoholics/status hounds/assholes need apply.

Music:

Maddhatters, Alkaline Trio, NoFX, Anti-Flag, Against All Authority, Leftover Crack, Choking Victim, No Cash, Intro5pect, Big D and the Kids Table, Streetlight Manifesto, The Misfits, The Get Up Kids, Jimmy Eat World, Rancid, All, The Descendants, Reel Big Fish, Atom and His Package, H2O, 7 Seconds, Screeching Weasel, Propaghandi, MC Chris, BIWJ and We're Ugly.

I like the punk rock and the ska, mostly.

Movies:

Clue, Amadeus, Fight Club, The new Family Guy movie, The South Park movie, Nightmare Before Christmas, the third and fourth Harry Potter, Gone in 60 Seconds, Robin Hood (yes, the cartoon one with the foxes) Batman (the 1966 one with Adam West and Burt Ward), The Sandlot, Little Giants, Lord of the Rings (all), Star Wars III, IV, V and VI, The NeverEnding Story and Labyrinth

Television:

Family Guy, South Park, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Robot Chicken, Futurama, King of the Hill, Degrassi (I started watching the commercials one day and before I realized it I was watching the show.) Teen Titans, Law and Order SVU, Utena, and anything on Animal Planet or the Discovery Channel

Books:

The Giver, Angels and Demons, The DaVinci Code, anything Harry Potter related, City (my favorite book ever by Clifford D, Simak), The Alphabet Series by Sue Grafton, the Dark Tower series by Stephen King, and every book in high school I was forced to read and wish I'd paid better attention to now.

Heroes:

Anyone who has chosen their own path despite the attitudes of the people around them.

If I'm so happy, then why do I feel so guilty?

Things in Philly are wonderful.  I'm broke, stressed the f out over money, and sweating my ass off without air conditioning, and I'm happier than I've ever been before EVER (including all the yea...

All is mellow and good, in the hood

I've been lazy about updating the gui-jar, I know.  I've only been picking up a bit of change here and there, and I figured I'd get back on track with the weekly updates when I start getting tips...

And the winner is...

On Monday I start working for Starbucks.  Yeah, I know, but I need health insurance.  I actually chose to work for the other place, but it involved talking to strangers all day, so long stor...

Gui-Jar update, week tres, plus other awesome updates

$24.48.  Not much of an improvement, but I accredit that mostly to the fact that I quit my job, so I haven't gotten any tips.  I've been lazy with the updates, but when you're unemployed, Mo...

Gui-Jar update, week dos

$24.30.  Can you believe that?  I believe the integrity of the jar has been compromised, as Jen has been tossing in change that she doesn't want in her pocket, but I'm choosing to see it as ...

Gui-Jar update, week one

Ok, so the Jar has been made, though it's not quite a jar.  I used an old kitty litter container because it was big and available, but the saving has started nontheless.  The money entering ...

If you work it right, you can get something for nothing

I'm the kind of person who picks up pennies.  I've been noticing that since I live in a city with many more people, there are many more pennies around.  With all of my moving expenses, I hav...

We are here.  We have been here a week, actually.  We've been here a week, and Jen and I have already gotten jobs, started working, and figured out the local subway and buses.  We learn...
